Frequently asked questions

Here there are answers to some frequently asked questions (FAQ). Before writing to technical support service look answers here.

Q: I wanted to run WinAmpBar but the program would not load. It says it needs WinAmp for proper operation.
A: The reason is that WinAmpBar uses WinAmp player. You must install WinAmp player prior to launching WinAmpBar for the first time. WinAmp can be downloaded here free of charge.

Q: The first time I launched WinAmpBar it found WinAmp and worked well, however right now it displays WinAmp search prompt again.
A: You have deleted or moved WinAmp to another location. If the player has been moved or deleted, WinAmpBar will not be able to operate.

Q: I have specified the skins folder in 'Preferences' window, but some of the skins are missing.
A: WinAmpBar checks the skin file for possible errors prior to listing it as an available skin. Probably an error occurred while the file was downloaded from our web site. Try to download the skin file again.

Q: I have changed some settings and bar is now not shown on the screen. How do I bring it back?
A: Open the 'Preferences' window and then click the Options icon. Select 'Advanced' and un-check the 'Hide WinAmpBar and use TaskTray icon menu only' option. Press 'OK'.

Q: Does WinAmpBar support WinAmp3?
A: Yes, it does.

Q: When I increase or decrease volume in WinAmp, WinAmpBar slider does not move. The same happens when I press 'Shuffle' or 'Repeat' in WinAmp window.
A: This is due to limitations of WinAmp versions 2.xx. To fix this either install WinAmp 3 or control the player using WinAmpBar only.
